About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious and eager engineering professional to join our Silicon Valley Account Management team. In this role, you will be working with our Automotive and Off-Highway clients to ensure sales revenue growth goals are met and/or exceeded. You will be challenged with taking on and understanding customer challenges and needs, developing solutions, and closing new business opportunities. Additionally, you will be working with an existing book of business and tasked with sustaining the sales revenues for these accounts.

This is the perfect role for an early careered engineering professional who is looking to transition into a sales/customer facing role. Exact technology experience is not needed – we will train you on the product specific technologies.

Qualifications That Make You an Excellent Fit:

  • Technical Background – specifically Electrical Engineering
  • Experience/knowledge of Controls Design or Software Test Equipment
  • Insights and/or existing contacts within the Automotive and Off-Highway Markets (not required, but is a plus)
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Development of Embedded Software Tools
  • Comfortable discussing technical applications with engineering team members

Additional Skills That Make You a Great Fit:

  • Ability to obtain, grasp, and discuss the technical aspects of products with customers
  • Comfortable and able to travel to customer sites as needed (West Coast Travel only)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skillset is a blended combination of business, application and customer focus

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Manage and maintain existing business relationships with renowned customers
  • Proactively pursue business opportunities within existing customers and prospect
  • Form and maintain strong, professional relationships with all departments of customer accounts through customer visits and other communications
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual booking and sales goals
  • Be part of a cross-functional team, coordinate the resources of engineering, operations and other functions to meet customer expectations and achieve company objectives
  • Be responsible to successfully move new business from RFQ to shipment for assigned accounts
  • Actively participate in marketing activities, including representation at tradeshows, conferences, and other company events
  • Market feedback to the engineering and product development teams to support new product design decisions
