Experienced Cyber Security Penetration Tester
Location: Remote, Philippines.
Overview:
An experienced cyber security penetration tester is responsible for simulating real-world attacks on an organization’s computer systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities and assess the effectiveness of security measures. Penetration testers will use various tools and techniques to identify and exploit weaknesses in an organization’s infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvement. A cyber security penetration tester is an important role that helps an organization to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in its systems and networks, and ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of cyber security experience.
- 4+ years experience as a penetration tester, with a strong understanding of hacking techniques and tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols and architecture
- Experience with web application testing and vulnerability assessment
- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional English language and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN or LPT are a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive security assessments and penetration tests
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on a variety of systems and applications
- Conducting ethical hacking and penetration testing on various systems, networks and web applications
- Identifying vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the organization’s security posture
- Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications
- Exploiting identified vulnerabilities to assess the potential impact on the organization
- Perform network and web application security assessments
- Providing detailed reports of findings and recommendations for remediation
- Analyze and document findings and provide recommendations for remediation
- Communicating effectively with clients and internal team members
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends and techniques
- Maintain a working knowledge of cyber security regulations and compliance requirements
- Develop custom tools and scripts to assist in testing and automation
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
